Chocko Valliappa is a passionate & a multifaceted entrepreneur born into a family of entrepreneurs dating to 1920s. He started his career in the textile industry & went on to learn about coffee plantation. He co-founded the incubation company Valliappa Software Tech Park (VSTP), launching companies like ORACLE, CISCO, Verifone in India 1995-2000.
In 2000 he founded Vee Technologies which has become a gold standard Global Services company focused in Revenue cycle Management, Healthcare, & Engineering services. Vee annually handles about $21 Billion worth transactions with Six Sigma levels of accuracy, working with Global 1000 & medium companies.Vee features in Inc500 list of the fastest growing US Companies, Healthcare Tech list of the Top 10 RCM providers, Information Week List-100 Top Global Outsourcing companies etc.
As owner & trustee in the longstanding educational institution Family Trust, Chocko plays an integral role in furthering the research & innovations of Sona College of Technology, Sona School of Management & Thiagarajar Polytechnic. SonaTech has 300 PhDs with 30 Research laboratories doing path breaking R&D activities ranging from: Rocket motors to Nano Composites and from Big Data analytics to climate and rainfall. Education about 10,000 students, the colleges have won the ‘Best College” award from CII & AICTE as well as the ISTE & the Government.
Being an entrepreneur & able to think for the community comes very naturally to Chocko. He spends time in Sona Foundation’s Community centers in developing skill/vocation based training to underprivileged people. He has undertaken to elevate a million people from poverty (earning less than $1.20 a day), through his non profit venture Sona Yukti which is dear to his heart.
Chocko is one of the founders of the Young Entrepreneurs Organization (EO) Bangalore Chapter, its Past-President, & former Area Director for the India/Nepal region Chocko is a member of the YPO (Young Presidents Organazation) Global One Chapter
